King Abdullah Hussein appoints new Prime Minister

Pressures are rising in the Middle East and reaching beyond Egypt, Iraq, Iran into Israel and Jordan. The latter countries are wondering what all the dissent and uprising means for their countries and their relations with Egypt. King Abdullah Hussein responded to unrest from his people in the Muslim factions by asking the current Prime Minister to step down. King Hussein appointed a man in his place who adheres more to the desires of the people of Muslim faith. Since the King is a Christian this poses some conflict for him and his country. One can only watch to see how this unfolds and to wonder if this one measure will appease the outcry of the majority to form a unity government under the Muslim brotherhood.

Pray for Jordan and its people and for us all.

End Time Refuge during the great tribulation

I found an excellent research site on the end times and prophcy concering Petra, Jordan. The Bible and other ancient scriptures are rich in such declarations but this site has many references and passages located in one place which makes a handy study guide.

"Let mine outcasts dwell (sojourn) with thee, Moab (the KJV correctly follows the [Masoretic Text], as over against the LXX, Syriac, and Targum, who render it: “the outcasts of Moab”). . . . The LORD was saying to Moab, through the Spirit of prophecy in Isaiah, “When My people Israel will be outcasts, be a haven to them, hiding them from their persecutors.” Envisioned is that preeminent time of Israel’s trouble, the Great Tribulation . . . under Antichrist, Israel’s supreme “destroyer” (Rev. 12:6+-13:18+). . . . At the height of that persecution of the Jewish remnant, Christ will return in glory to sit upon His throne and judge the nations (Mtt. 25:46).2"
